Sacramento High School Senior Photographer – Antonio

I just love photographing Antonio.  He is one of the most sweetest boy I’ve met. His mom is so proud of him and I can see it in her eyes.   I photographed Antonio a year ago with his brother.   It seemed like he grew up a lot since the last time I saw him.  Boys grow real fast.  I can’t believe how my  boys have grown as well.  They just creep up on you.  Next thing you know their taller than you.   I’m really short so that’s not a surprise to anyone but me 🙂 .   Anyway, when Antonio’s mom called inquiring about senior photos, I jumped at the chance and asked if he would be interested in being a Senior Rep for my studio.   Luckily, she said yes.  Here are the awesome photos for his portfolio. We will be photographing his real senior portrait later this summer.

San Francisco Wedding Photographer / The Wedding of Jennifer and Rossel

Jennifer and Rossel’s wedding last Saturday was amazing.  We met Jennifer at the Casa Medrona Hotel in Sausalito as she gets ready.  My assistant Anthony and I had no idea how many steps and turns there were to get to her room.  I’m glad Anthony was strong enough to bring my heavy equipment up about three flights of steps.  The view was great from her room.

It was nice to meet her family.  I found out that her mom custom-made her beautiful wedding dress.  Next to her wedding dress is her traditional Vietnamese gown which she wore toward the end of the reception.  Rossel wore his traditional Filipino garb called the “barong tagalog”.

We first started our day driving through San Francisco and shot some amazing and fun photos.  The group was so much fun to photograph.  We had a great time just laughing and enjoying the photoshoot.   The ceremony was held at the beautiful balcony of Spinnaker Restaurant overlooking the picturesque bay.  What a gorgeous setting.  Jennifer and Rossel are two of the most beautiful people I’ve met…kind and loving.

Association of Bridal Consultants – Sacramento Wedding Photographer

I was privileged to have been invited to photograph and be part of a special evening with the members of the Association of Bridal Consultants. This particular event was put together by Denise Delaney of Denise Presents! She is one of many wedding planners who attended the evening who are Certified Wedding Planners.  Another member who was gracious to help Denise was Gina Lett of Inspirations by Gina.

We  started the evening at The Amber House Bed & Breakfast hosted by Judith Bommer.  We toured the rooms and it was beautiful.  I will have a separate post just so I can show more photos of the place.  As we came in were greeted by a surprise guest harpist, Pam Pamperin.  She is an amazing harpist.  This place is perfect for a weekend getaway…very romantic and relaxing.

The members were then picked up by Greg Hutchinson of Limousine Club..service with a smile 🙂  Next stop was The Pearl on the River Retaurant where we were met by Steven Darmstander.  He gave everyone a tour of the place where wedding couples can hold rehearsal dinners or even have their ceremony outside on the balcony overlooking the river.  The food was fabulous and ambience is very classy.

After dinner, they again loaded the limo to a red carpet greeting at the Il Fornaio Restaurant at the Wells Fargo Center in downtown Sacramento.  We were greeted by the friendly Shenise Macshate-Evan who is the event coordinator for Il Fornaio. She gave us a tour of the many rooms at the restaurant they can hold small to large parties.   Did you know that you can rent the whole place for a wedding and reception for a small fee?  Nice.  We ended the evening with a delicious desserts.

After traveling with this serious minded group of professionals, I understand how much they know about venues, food and beverage ideas, creative touches, and you can see the experience that goes into pulling off a smooth flowing event, so all can enjoy it to the fullest.

As a wedding photographer, I can say that having a wedding planner is a big help for brides.  They have the professional experience to help them organize from the beginning stage to their big day, and  manage the day they really want to have and make it smooth so they can relax and enjoy.

For me, it was a great evening of meeting new people and experiencing new places.

Sacramento Senior Photography – Brandon

Brandon was fun to photograph.  He’s a very sweet guy.  He had an amazing look about him and I was so happy how the photos came out.  We drove around to different places.  He lead me and his mom to the railroad tracks where he and his friends hung out.  It was quite a hike up the hill for his mom and I but it was worth it when we got there.

Cambodian Engagement Ceremony – Sacramento Wedding Photographer

It was a such a nice to experience different cultures such as the one that took place a few weeks ago when Chheavy of Absolute Wedding (Event Coordinator) was engaged to her one and only, Chris.   Every one was so happy to share this special day with them.  This is the day they are to be officially engaged.  And, in the Cambodian culture, the male and his family brings gifts as an offering for her hand in marriage.  Chheavy looked amazing in her traditional Cambodian garb.  She even had someone especially come in to do the intricate foldings of her dress.  Apparently, not very many people can do it very well.

There were trays and trays of variety of food and sweet Cambodian delicacies.  Chris’ relatives each brought a tray with the help of some of Chheavy’s relatives and paraded down the street to her house to offer their gifts with Chris carrying the engagement ring.

The ceremony was translated from Cambodian to English.  Everyone sat on the floor and participated.  Chheavy’s family was so proud to share their culture to Chris’ family.  After the ceremony, everyone feasted with traditional Cambodian food like a whole roasted pig.  Everyone was so welcoming.

Here some photos from the event.  I can’t wait for to photograph their wedding.  Chheavy and Chris are an amazing, easy going couple and they are perfect for each other.
